Each individual’s life journey is unique to him or her, and like any other journey there are periods when the journey seems harder than others. That is what I am here for; to assist in lightening your load during those parts of the journey that seem more difficult, while at the same time helping you learn skills that will assist later on. Helping others has been a part of my life since I was a child, and continues to be a passion of mine. As a nurse I have taken care of patients from newborn to mature adults, and enjoy working with all individuals from all walks of life.
Through the use of a cognitive-behavioral approach we can explore both the thoughts and behaviors related to various situations and learn to alter them when needed for the better. Through this process it is possible to change how we react to situations and therefore the outcome of those events. I recognize that seeking help is not an easy process and understand the strength it takes to search out a place for therapy. Therapy can enable a client to live a more healthy life through empowerment, peace with oneself, and more coping skills to help handle life’s challenges.
